Morwen (Mo) is Director of Sustainability at The Gleneagles Hotel, responsible for minimising the carbon footprint across both hotels and delivering its ambition to reach net-zero by 2040. Proactive engagement and nurturing strong collaborative relationships with suppliers is key to enhancing supply chain transparency and identifying opportunities to reduce emissions. However, recognising suppliers vary in size from small artisans to large corporates, Mo starts with understanding where each supplier is on their own journey, tailoring engagement to create meaningful partnership that benefit both businesses long-term. Staring her career as a qualified accountant, Mo was Finance Manager at SSE plc before joining Highland Spring Group in 2015. Her personal interest in sustainability led to a career shift, spending three years as Head of Sustainability at Highland Spring before joining Gleneagles in January 2024.
