He is a senior member of the RSPB’s business team, which supports organisations in transitioning to a way of business that protects and restores the natural world. Mark has almost 30 years of experience working with the food industry, the vast majority focused on sustainability initiatives. Prior to joining RSPB, he was Director of Food and Network Development at the UK’s largest redistribution charity FareShare, and before that, he was Head of Commercial Relations for food and beverage at The Fairtrade Foundation. Mark was Director of Sustainable Business at leading behaviour change agency Corporate Culture and spent his early career at Procter and Gamble.
The RSPB is accelerating its business-focused work, driving urgent conversations on business’ role in tackling the nature crisis. To meet the demands of a changing planet, the next seven years are crucial, and businesses need to start planning now. The charity owns and manages more than 160,000 hectares of land, with more than 200 reserves across the UK where it undertakes conservation work. Rooted in a science-led approach, the charity’s global reach and on-the-ground expertise enables it to deliver high-impact partnerships and empower businesses to take meaningful action for nature.
