With 20 years of experience in the low-carbon industry, Sebastiaan van Dort is a recognized leader in driving the transition towards a sustainable future. His career spans key policies and initiatives such as the Energy Company Obligation, The Green Deal, Warm Home Discount, and the Smart Meter roll-out, where he has successfully collaborated with government and regulators to facilitate their effective implementation.

H currently is the Associate Director of Energy and Sustainability at the British Standards Institution (BSI), Sebastiaan plays a pivotal role in engaging with stakeholders from government, industry, and NGOs. He spearheads BSI's strategy, identifying opportunities where standards can enable and accelerate the journey towards a Net Zero future. His work encompasses critical areas such as sustainable finance, nature-based solutions, biodiversity, energy flexibility, renewable energy, and low-carbon technologies.
