Dr Dorothy Maxwell
Job title: Head of Sustainability and ESG Advisory
Dorothy has over 25 years working in the sustainable business/ESG arena with business and government in USA, UK, Ireland, EU and Asia. She is currently Head of Davy Horizons – sustainability and ESG advisory part of financial services firm Davy Group based in Ireland and UK. She has worked with Accenture, Willis Towers Watson, McKinsey as a sustainable business consultant. She has worked as a Head of Sustainability for businesses including Sanpower Group (China)/House of Fraser and Selfridges Group. She has worked with the European Commission, Irish government and UK Department of the Environment (DEFRA) as an environmental policy maker. She has been a Senior Advisor to HRH The Prince of Wales’s International Sustainable Unit. In 2017, she was honoured to become one of The Prince’s Responsible Business Ambassadors. Dorothy has a proven track record leading and delivering sustainability/ESG projects in business across FMCG, retail, food, financial services, construction, pharmaceuticals and ICT with companies such as Walmart, J&J and Nike. Qualifications are a MSc Environmental Science and PhD Sustainable Business from Imperial College London. She is visiting lecturer on sustainable business at Imperial College London and TU Dublin. She is author of Valuing Natural Capital: Future Proofing Business & Finance She is a member of the Central Bank of Ireland Climate Forum, Fellow and board member of the Institute of Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability (ICRS).
