Sonya Bhonsle is the Global Director of Corporates at CDP, the world’s leading environmental disclosure platform. She has been with CDP for 16 years and has over two decades of experience in corporate sustainability. In her current role, Sonya leads CDP’s global corporate engagement strategy, supporting companies to disclose environmental data, take ambitious climate and nature action, and embed sustainability into core business strategy.

Sonya’s work particularly focuses on how corporates use disclosure insights to innovate and decarbonize their value chains through the CDP Supply Chain program. She has extensive experience in Scope 3 management, including setting and achieving science-based targets, as well as advancing corporate action on water security and deforestation.

Before joining CDP, Sonya spent four years working for the UK Government on sustainable procurement and carbon trading, and two years as a sustainability consultant on the London Development Agency’s Green 500 program.
