Speaker Biography
Manu is a former teacher whose work now focuses on building the future sustainability workforce through evidence-based strategy, systemic change and award-winning facilitation. He specialises in using data, workforce analysis and organisational insight to identify skills gaps, leadership bottlenecks, resourcing risks and long-term capacity needs across the sustainability sector. His approach is grounded in informed resourcing; aligning people, investment, and culture with real-world environmental and social pressures.

He is the co-founder of the RACE Report, a live transparency framework and data platform for racial equity in environmental organisations, and co-developer of the PACE Index, a European benchmark for inclusion and accountability in the climate sector. Together, these initiatives show how shared metrics, data infrastructure and accountability systems can reshape organisational behaviour, workforce composition and leadership pipelines, enabling institutions to move from intention to measurable transformation.

He has supported over 100 organisations across environmental, cultural, and public sectors to align stakeholders, redesign internal systems and translate complexity into practical delivery models. A core focus of this work is identifying development needs, from skills shortages and leadership diversity, to governance capacity, organisational culture and cross-sector collaboration.

His leadership experience includes stabilising post-merger organisations, strengthening governance, diversifying income streams and advising organisationa on human-centred strategy. He is also a co-founder of NYCE and the Global Goals Centre, which runs Sparks, the country’s first sustainable department store.

He speaks on the future workforce as a systems challenge: building adaptive leadership, inclusive pipelines, resilient organisational cultures capable of responding to fast-changing social and environmental challenges.
