Speaker Biography
Perminder is a Chartered Surveyor with over 25 years dedicated to delivering environmental schemes and promoting social mobility. He has experience across private sector, public sector and freelancing, during which built a wealth of knowledge and skills. Currently he is Head of Green Cities and Circular Economy at City of Wolverhampton Council leading on the City's Climate Action Pathway for decarbonisation.
He started his career in the aggregates and waste management sectors, then transitioned into land reclamation and creation of wildlife habitats before spending serval years delivering active travel corridors and improving access to skills and employment across the West Midlands.
He has been volunteering since the 1990’s, initially, a Conservation Operative, then in Community related matters as School Governor for 12 years and also Committee Member of the Warwickshire Coventry and Solihull Local Access Forum for 10 years. He is now a Non-Executive Board Director of Sustainability West Midlands and also creates time volunteering at events and to interest groups representing the charity WaterAid to highlight 'It Starts With Water', the global human rights issues relating to lack of; Clean Water, Decent Toilets and Good Hygiene.
