I research landscape dynamics through the application of artificial intelligence (AI)
to identify patterns in data from long-term
satellite records. I have a track record of innovation in the
development and use of AI and remote sensing for understanding agricultural land-use
for illicit crops, the impact of mining on cocoa farming, and measuring ecosystem function
for improving restoration ecology. My work underpins wider research through
new data for improved models of climate change,
ecosystem resilience and function, and carbon cycling.
