With over a decade of experience at the intersection of sustainable investing and climate resilience, Puninda has advised and collaborated with financial institutions, policymakers, and global initiatives to drive capital toward nature-positive solutions. She has served as Finance Nature Lead with the Climate Champions Team, where she focused on catalyzing and mobilizing financial-sector action to address biodiversity loss and nature-related risks and opportunities. Her work bridged finance, policy, and environmental outcomes to accelerate a transition toward a more sustainable, resilient, and equitable global economy.

She holds a Bachelor of Environmental Studies in Environment and Business (Honours) from the University of Waterloo and an MSc in Sustainability, Enterprise, and the Environment from the University of Oxford. Puninda is also a member of the Global Shapers Community, an initiative of the World Economic Forum.

Her leadership has been widely recognized: she has been named one of Canada’s Top 30 Sustainability Leaders, Top 25 Environmentalists, and a Clean50 Honouree for her contributions to advancing climate action.
