Kevin leads the management of Kew’s internationally significant tree collection of more than 11,000 trees and is a lead contributor to Kew’s Landscape Succession Plan — a pioneering initiative using climate science to inform the future of Kew’s landscape. Focused on understanding how climate change will affect Kew’s historic collections, the project identifies tree species capable of thriving under projected future conditions. While centred on Kew’s estate, the methodology offers a potential blueprint for other land managers, estates and cities planning climate-resilient landscapes.
