Speaker Biography
Emily is a sustainability leader and communicator, currently leading sustainability at St Austell Brewery, the South West’s largest independent brewing and hospitality business. Working across more than 160 pubs, breweries and a complex supply chain, she focuses on turning climate ambition into practical, everyday action.
Emily’s work centres on influence over authority; empowering teams to embed sustainability into their roles through clear strategy, strong engagement and behaviour change. This was the topic of her recent TEDx Talk. She has led the development and implementation of the business’s first long-term sustainability strategy, helping to integrate sustainability across operations, culture and decision-making.
Before joining St Austell Brewery, Emily worked in sustainability consultancy supporting food and drink businesses with ESG strategy, reporting and engagement. She holds degrees in Business Management and Economics and Sustainability, and continues to invest in her development through climate and leadership training.
Emily was recognised in edie’s 30 Under 30 for emerging climate leaders and was shortlisted for Rising Sustainability Star. Raised on a small farm in Cornwall, she brings a grounded, systems-thinking approach to sustainability, rooted in community, connection and the belief that meaningful change starts with people.
