Andy leads Heart of the City, overseeing our work to support small businesses to have a positive impact on people, places and planet. He has over 15 years’ experience in the charity sector working with businesses on their social and environmental impact. He previously worked with Heart of the City, leading the charity from 2020-21 and overseeing the development of our climate work.

He was previously the Director of Strategic Partnerships at Open for Business, where he engaged global corporates as advocates for LGBTQ+ rights using the economic case for inclusion. He also spent almost 10 years at Business in the Community, leading campaigns on community investment and place.

Andy is active in the charity sector, serving as inaugural chair of trustees at Brighter Together and holding a number of volunteer management and trustee roles in the Scout Association in South London. He is also an adviser to Sixty7.green, a sustainability consultancy, and People Change Minds, which provides training to create inclusive environments for LGBTQ+ people in schools and workplaces.
