The Net-Zero Stocktake 2025: How are businesses moving from strategy to implementation?

We’re halfway through the so-called ‘decade of delivery’ for the global net-zero transition and the countdown to 2030 is well and truly on. How are businesses progressing their decarbonisation plans and what are the biggest sticking points when it comes to implementing net-zero actions at scale and at pace?

Hosted during edie’s flagship annual Summer Lunch, this panel discussion brings together a selection of business and climate leaders for a much-needed stocktake on the corporate net-zero transition. The session will be held under Chatham House Rules, allowing for honest and action-provoking reflections from our high-level panel.

Discussion points:

  • Transition Plans: Learning from the first-movers and driving meaningful engagement

  • Policy and regulatory enablers: What’s needed from central and local government through to 2030?

  • Decarbonisation priorities in 2025-26: Where are the biggest technological levers for business?

  • Communicating net-zero: The pitfalls, and opportunities, of customer engagement programmes
