Henrik has over 20 years’ experience working with SMEs, multi-national corporations, community groups, local authorities, government departments, and EU Secretariats. His work has focused on decarbonisation, nature restoration, ‘green’ skills development, and environmental standards, both as a consultant and by supporting the development of tech to automate this work. At Sage, Henrik plays a critical role in developing and delivering Sage’s strategies on achieving Net Zero, both as a company and by helping our customers and other SMEs get to Net Zero. This work includes developing our automated carbon accounting service, getting to grips with Sage’s supply chain and how we develop and operate our software, as well as advocating for simplified and proportionate reporting standards for SMEs, and for policies to support SMEs to get to Net Zero. Most recently, Henrik has been working with internal and external stakeholders to develop sustainable supply chain and sustainable product training and learning that is specifically tailored to different Business Units within Sage. He is also working with the UK Government and European Commission to quantify the demand from SMEs for finance to decarbonize, highlighting the barriers associated with accessing finance, to encourage the development of new reporting standards and policies to unlock financial support.
