The 20th edition of the UK’s largest and longest-running celebration of sustainable business sees 27 refreshed categories recognising the organisations, people and partnerships driving real-world impact, and a new home as the celebration finale of edie 27.

edie, the UK’s largest and longest-running sustainable business media brand, returns for a landmark 20th year as the definitive celebration of positive business impact.

Known as the ‘Oscars of sustainable business’, the edie Awards have spent two decades recognising the most ambitious and authentic approaches to sustainability – and the 2027 edition arrives at a defining moment, celebrating the organisations pressing ahead with impact at a time when many others are going quiet.

For 2027, the scheme has undergone a major refresh, with a new panel of expert judges and a clearer structure built around three category pillars: Leadership & Strategy, Action & Collaboration, and People & Culture. The categories lean deliberately into impact beyond carbon – spanning climate adaptation and nature, water, waste and the circular economy, supply chains, reporting and disclosure, product and AI innovation, and social and cultural impact.

For the first time, the edie Awards will also take place as the celebration finale on the second night of edie 27, edie’s flagship event, returning to London on 13–14 April 2027. The alignment turns edie 27 into a two-day experience for the sustainable business community, culminating in the sector’s biggest celebration.
