About edie’s Green Buildings Forum & Workshops

edie’s Green Buildings Forum & Workshops is a new event designed to help sustainability professionals tackle one of the biggest challenges in the net-zero transition: decarbonising private-sector buildings.

As climate targets accelerate, buildings remain a major source of emissions and one of the hardest areas to fix. While many events focus on construction, few support the teams working to transform existing building portfolios. This Forum fills that gap.

Taking place during London Climate Action Week, the event addresses a critical challenge: the UK’s built environment generates around a quarter of national emissions, with 80% of today’s buildings still in use by 2050.

Despite strong ambition, progress is often slowed by fragmented, overly technical information and a lack of practical guidance for existing assets. This event cuts through the noise, delivering clear insights, collaboration, and real-world solutions.

Join sustainability, energy, and building professionals at IET London: Savoy Place for a focused day of learning, networking, and action on net-zero carbon buildings.

Who should attend

Unlike traditional built environment events, edie’s Green Buildings Forum is designed specifically for sustainability, energy and facilities professionals working in the private sector.

The event brings these teams together to:

  • Share challenges and lessons learned
  • Explore practical pathways to decarbonising existing buildings
  • Understand how to balance carbon reduction with cost, performance and operational realities
  • Strengthen collaboration between sustainability, facilities and finance teams
  • The focus is firmly on real-world decision-making, not theory.

This event is designed for professionals responsible for improving building performance and reducing environmental impact:

  • In-house sustainability, ESG, and net-zero professionals
  • Sustainability & ESG leaders
  • Energy managers
  • Facilities & estates managers
  • Property & asset managers
  • Net-zero and decarbonisation leads
  • Non-profit, academic, and NGO professionals

Note: Delegate attendance is closed to consultants and product, solutions, or service providers, as well as professionals in client-facing roles. These organisations and individuals may still participate and be positioned as industry experts by investing in one of the available sponsorship opportunities.
